The
Golden
Ball

Pub Kitchen
Maidenhead, Buckinghamshire.

An idyllically situated pub and restaurant focusing on the best of British food

The Golden Ball, in a picturesque Berkshire village, was the dream location for an experienced chef and his wife looking to buy their own pub and develop a great menu. However, it had been badly neglected by the previous owner and much of the existing kitchen equipment had been condemned.

The couple were very impressed by our design and installation knowledge and wide experience of pub kitchens and we were commissioned to take on the project.

With his cheffing background, the owner had very definite ideas about the equipment he wanted so we worked closely with him to incorporate everything into a highly efficient design that flows perfectly and will stand the test of time.

The layout maximises the working space and enables three chefs and other kitchen staff to work together comfortably and harmoniously. It also means that extra staff can be accommodated at exceptionally busy times.

Most importantly, the new kitchen adheres to all legislation and enables a much better working practice.

The pub restaurant has quickly built a strong reputation locally and now regularly caters for between 150 and 250 covers a day. Food is virtually all cooked to order and the emphasis is on high quality, locally sourced ingredients.
